Christmas Decorations

Here are a few pictures of the Christmas decorations I put up this year:
This is a new tradition that Tye and I have decided to do this year it is called, "The Elf on the Shelf." First of all you are supposed to let your kids give the elf a name. We haven't yet we are going to let Ayden name it when she is older. The elf's responsibility is to watch your children's behavior and report back to Santa each night. After returing from the North Pole your children discover that the elf is resting in a new and different place (this happens everynight). To preserve the elf's Christmas magic your children are not allowed to touch it; however talking to the elf is encouraged. The elf is also under strict orders from Santa not to talk to your children but he is under no such orders with the parents. We thought that this would be so much fun after Ayden and hopefully other kids (in the future) get older. We decided to start it this year, but we are not moving it because Ayden has no clue anyway!!
This is the book that explains everything and you are supposed to read it every Christmas with your kids
(We have read it to Ayden twice)
these are Tye's nutcrackers that either were Nana's or ones that Nana gave him when he was little
here are our stockings, I made ours two years ago and Ayden's right before she was born
Our Christmas tree that Ayden LOVES to look at:)
