Red River Trip

We just got back from a trip to Red River with B, Shell and Kam Kam.  We had the best time!  We did all kinds of fun things but most importantly we got to spend time with the people we love!
We fished.  We didn't catch anything...mainly because a 6,4 and 3 year old won't leave the line in the water long enough or could it have been that a few didn't really have a hook.  Nonetheless, they had a blast!!
We relaxed!  A few days the kids didn't get a nap because we were out and about.  It caught up with this little one the last day.  I don't think Kam Kam minded holding him.
We hiked all the way to Daddy's fort that he started building in 1992.  B and Shell brought their kids to this same spot for many years.  Their names were still carved in the tree behind Tye.  Such sweet memories for them and I'm so glad I finally got to see this awesome fort and the place that I've heard so much about!
We rode the chair lift all the way to the top of the mountain.  We ate lunch at a restaurant, hiked around the top and then rode back down.  The kids were so confused that there wasn't snow or skis on their feet.  I loved this day!
We played old games with Shell!  Oh Rats!
 We love Kam!
We want to do everything Kam does!
Ayden and Ryan wanted their training wheels off.  We took them off and they were doing great until they fell several times and then wanted them back on.  Since riding out in the country isn't near as fun as riding on the road we let them so they could enjoy their bikes for the week.  B was such a trooper helping and running behind the kids.  He's such a sweet grandad!
Look at her go!
Ryan caught on really fast and was doing so well.  Ayden couldn't stand that she was older than her brother and couldn't do it so she forced herself to learn!
Just a swingin'
Back home in Texas!
We always have such a great time with Tye's family but this trip was one of my favorites!  I'm so thankful that I have in-laws who I want to spend time with and who love our babies.  Can't wait to go back!!
