Happy Birthday to my DAD!

Today is my Dad's 50th birthday.  

Anyone who knows ME knows that I'm really close with my Dad.  When I was a little girl I was always with him.  It didn't matter where or what he was doing if he was home I was helping him.  He has always been my number one friend.  He now holds the place of the 2nd most important man in my life.  Next to my wonderful husband who my Dad loves just as much as me.  

Things in my life haven't always been easy.  My childhood wasn't always easy.  There were times that situations presented themselves that children shouldn't have to deal with.  I can honestly say though that now looking back and even then living in the moment my Dad was the solid ground that never shook.  I'm so thankful for lessons learned and especially lessons taught by him.  They have all shaped me into the wife and mother that I am today.

I was born the day after him.  We have always shared a birthday...always. 

From the very beginning...to now. 

I truly could never express how much this man means to me.  He is such a good and honest man...a touch of a "realist" at times but we wouldn't want him any other way.  I love my Dad so very much.  I'm proud that he's mine and I hope he has the BEST birthday.  Thank you Dad for everything you are and for everything you try to be.  I'm thankful that I not only get to have you as my Dad but that my kids get to have you as their Poppa.  You are the BEST and I love you so very much!
