Garza County Stock Show 2019

For months, Ayden has worked, walked, scooped, fed, watered and brushed her pigs.  She has learned so much about responsibility and taking care of an animal.
There were several times this weekend that Tye and I got emotional just watching her.  She is becoming such a big girl.  She is becoming more responsible, patient, smart and brave.  She is usually very shy and doesn't like big crowds but she got out there in front of a lot of people and did a fantastic job.  She overcame the butterflies and proved not only to us but to herself that she could do it.

It wouldn't have mattered if she got last or won Grand Champion, it's about what she has learned along the way.  We couldn't be more proud of her.
Brownie and Pinkie Pie were so cute and definitely had their own personalities.
Ayden got fourth with Brownie and seventh with Pinkie Pie.
Ryan, Myles and Sydney showed our pigs in the Pee Wee Show.
Cutest, funniest thing to watch for sure!
Sydney didn't really "show."  Ayden carried her most of the time.  A pig almost took her out before the show even started and she was scared after that.  Ayden is the BEST big sister in the world.
Sydney was so happy that she got her own pig trophy!
Ryan did a great job!  He walked Pinkie Pie around the whole entire pen.  Right before the show started Pinkie Pie peed ALL over his leg.  The wetness went clear up to his knee!  He wasn't happy but pushed through and didn't complain.  I'm proud of him!

Myles did a really good job with Brownie too!  Myles loves Brownie and I think Brownie feels the same way.  After Myles got his trophy he forgot he was still having to watch Brownie.  He lost him for a bit but all was fine and the pig was found!
This was our first stock show and it was such a wonderful experience!  I'm so thankful for Tarlton, our county extension agent for all the help he gave us and the patience he had teaching Ayden what this is truly all about.
Tye worked really hard for two days too!  He such good Daddy.
B made sure we had a trailer and helped Ayden and Tye get the pigs ready and cleaned up.
My kids are so very blessed!!
