Bubby is TWO. I sat down to do a blog post about Ryan and I didn't even know where to start. This little man has had my heart since the moment I saw him. When I found out we were having a boy I didn't know what to think. Boys are just different than girls. They are definitely made of snakes, snails and puppy dog tails. There is no other child or person for that matter who has made me feel such extreme emotions all at the same time. Ryan can make me feel so frustrated and then look at me with his big eyes with those long eyelashes and his little chicklet teeth and I just love him so much.
For those of you who know Ryan know he is a stinker. He is extremely strong willed and very peticular. He is smart, funny, silly, loving and shy. He is also a home body. He prefers to be a home with his family than out and about. If he knows you and is comfortable around you than he will talk. Otherwise, he just stares with a solemn look:) I say Ryan is a toot but he also has an extremely loving side. He will be running around the house playing and then just stop run over hug my leg and say, "love you." Ryan and Ayden are best friends. When they aren't together they are asking for each other. When Ryan wakes up in the morning he says, "Sissy, wake." He won't even eat breakfast without her. He also is a great big brother. He loves Myles and wants to hug and kiss him all the time.
I am just so thankful for this little man. He has made me question so many things about how we parent and things we are trying to teach our children. He hasn't always been the easiest to reason with but I can honestly say I wouldn't change one single minute of it. I am so thankful that God blessed me with such a spirited child. I love how when he starts something he wants to finish it. I love how when he is on a mission nothing gets in his way. I love how he keeps me on my toes. There is never a dull moment in our house with him. He is going to be my comedian...
I really can't believe that his birthday is tomorrow. I remember the day he was born thinking to myself, who is this little man going to be? In just two short years he has taught me alot and I just can't wait to watch him grow into the man God wants him to be.
Ryan, we love you so much. You have your Momma's whole heart in the palm of your hand:))
Here are some things about Bubby:
1. He carries around an array of toys. He loves his Charlie Brown, cow and Ziplock bag of finger puppets. He insists on having them in hand or in close proximity to where he is.
2. He loves to wear gloves or as he says, "glubs" in the house, even when its hot.
3. He is obsessed with brushing his teeth and wants to do it all the time.
4. He will eat anything as long as its sweet. Now dinner on the other hand, no!
5. His favorite books are "Goodnight Gorilla" and "Bedtime 1,2,3" His favorite song is "Row, Row, Row your Boat." He also really loves to pray:)
Here are some funny's: I'm going to start these off with
When he thinks no one is looking...
6. he sneaks in the candy drawer and eats Hershey Kisses.
7. he sneaks in Tye's bathroom and steals his toothbrush.
8. he sneaks in my bathroom and uses my mascara to brush his teeth. (that however doesn't end well)
9. he sneaks into the refrigerator and rearranges the condiments.
AND
10. he sneaks into our bedroom and uses Vicks Vapor Rub...on his face...on his hands...and on Brown's face:)
