Fossil Rim Safari Park

This past weekend we went to visit Doug and Brittney in Fort Worth.  One of the many fun things we did while we were there was go to the Fossil Rim Safari Park in Glen Rose.  It was such a fun and beautiful day.  You get to drive your own car through the roughly 9 mile park and feed "wild" animals right out of your hand.  The really wild animals like cheetahs and Rhino were caged somewhat like at the zoo.
Myles loved riding with the window down.  He wasn't really into the animals but he loved looking at himself in the side mirror.
As you can tell Ayden loved it.
Ryan was so surprising.  He is so shy and not real adventurous most of the time.  However, he was very into feeding all the animals.  He fed almost everything that came to the window.  We did encounter a mean ostrich...he was CRAZY!  It stuck its entire head and neck into the car for food and bit Ryan's hand.  It scared Ayden to death.  She started screaming and flew across the car trying to get away from it.  I haven't laughed that hard in a long time!
 Myles petting a goat.
Ryan hugging and kissing a goat.
Ayden climbing rocks like a mountain goat.
The whole family (as Ayden says)
My favorite part of the day was seeing and feeding the giraffes.  I love them.  They were so gentle and patient with the kids.  They are absolutely beautiful animals.
Ryan loved the giraffes.  He got to pick out a stuffed giraffe at the gift shop and he hasn't stopped holding it since we left.
Now this little guy...
We feed him for a few minutes and then wanted to move on to see another things.  He didn't really like that so he RAMMED the side of Doug's car.  It was funny but then again it wasn't my car.
We did other things throughout the weekend so more pictures to come!
