Myles's first birthday was so fun and probably the most relaxed one yet! The sad news is I didn't get any pictures of his decorations. It was Hungry Little Caterpillar theme based on the book by Eric Carle. So therefore I'm going to describe what the decorations looked like. On the food table I had different fruit, food and desserts for the different days of the week. For example, On_____day he ate through (a certain food). But he was still hungry.
Monday: watermelon
Tuesday: oranges
Wednesday: grapes
Thursday: strawberries
Friday: sausage wraps, hot dogs, chips and cheese
Saturday: marshmallows, candy, suckers and cupcakes
We also made a caterpillar out of paper lanterns and hung them from the carport. We had the party outside which was perfect. The weather was wonderful and it wasn't too hot! All the kids had fun swimming and playing in our backyard.
sweet birthday boy
Myles likes to eat. Anything and everything! So we all knew he would like his cupcake and he did. He was so very cute shoving the cake in his mouth. He had to have a quick bath before he opened presents.
He is still not quite sure what he is eating but it didn't matter.
He had to rest...all that eating makes a baby tired.
Then we opened presents. Myles got several new outfits and some really neat toys. It completely blows my mind that Myles is one and we just had his party. When you are living day to day with three little ones it feels like time is dragging sometimes. I know that its not though. Every single birthday seems to just pop up and I am so thankful that we got to celebrate Myles and his first year of life. Happy Birthday my sweet boy! We love you so very much!
