My kids don't really have chores or at least we don't call them chores. Every night before bed they clean up their rooms. We help them but they do most of the work. It's funny because we usually have to tell them (or the boys at least) several times to clean and re-direct what they are suppose to be doing. BUT, the minute I get out the vacuum cleaner or mop they rush to help.
It will be a glorious day when they can do all the "chores." haha
Don't judge my dirty floor! He mopped for like 30 minutes. I think he just likes to use the button that squirts out the liquid. Haha, who cares as long as he is mopping!
The other night we got a late start on bath time and dinner. Ayden knows that we always clean before bed and sometimes if they don't corporate they don't get to watch a show before bed. So this sweet girl rushed around and cleaned her room and the boys all by herself. She also made everyone's bed!
When I asked her why she did it she said, "Because I wanted to serve you Momma and I wanted my brothers to get to watch a show." She has heard me say on several occasions "when I'm serving my family I'm serving the Lord." She never ceases to amaze me at how much she understands at just five years old!
