For as long as I can remember my family has been going to Hordes Creek. When I was little we camped in a tent, we had a boat and we would spend time together roasting in the hot sun. It's a place full of so many fun memories and I'm thankful I get to take my kids here. I'm also super thankful that we have a camper...I can't imagine tent camping with my crew at this point!
We spent Memorial Day weekend here and had a blast. Tye didn't get to come this time because he was planting so I pulled the camper. My parents and aunt and uncle went so when we got there my Dad set everything up for me. Thanks again DAD!!
We went swimming and ate watermelon. The lake is the best place to eat watermelon with kids. When we were done I just threw them back in the water to rinse off!
Sweet baby girl sucking all the juice.
The kids played and swam in the water for 2 1/2 hours. They were all so tired that night. The sun and swimming can really take it out of you.
Sydney eating a snack.
Ayden and Ryan decorating the table for us. They drew out each of the seven days that God created the world.
We went on bike rides and walks while I pushed Sydney in the stroller.
The view from my hammock. It such a peaceful place.
"We picked you beautiful flowers Momma."
Before we left Tye gave the kids a talk about being good for me and helping me as much as they can since he wouldn't be there. I have to just say I'm so proud of my kids. They were so good in the car going and coming. They helped me carry stuff, make sandwiches, put their clothes in the hamper, picked up chairs and trash. It was one of those weekends where I got to spend quality time with them and my parents. No cell phones and no t.v. just family. They are all growing up so fast and becoming wonderful kids. I just love them all so much.
Can't wait for the next trip with Poppa and Honey!
