October FUN!

I have to admit Halloween isn't my favorite holiday.  I love pumpkins and all the decorations but the dressing up and all the candy tends to overwhelm me!  As I'm sure it does every mother. haha
BUT doing anything with these sweeties is worth the extra effort.  They make my life so full and I'm so thankful for every minute.  EVEN overwhelming, lots of candy minutes!

 We went to the carnival in Post at Old Mill Trade Days with Poppa and Honey.  It was SO fun.  It was $5 per person for tons of games, food and candy.  There was even a magic show.  How could you beat that?!

We painted pumpkins!  We've done this every single year and the kids look forward to it.  This year it was a secret of what they were going to paint, except Syd, she just wanted a PINK pumpkin.  It was so fun spending family time together.  We listened to music, ate snacks and talked. 

We also went to At'l Do Farms with the Blevins, B and Shell and Mandy.  It is always a fun time and something I always look forward to.  I just love watching these kids grow and seeing their friendships grow is even better!

Every year we have more "readers" to read the story on the Fairy Tale trail.

B bought tickets for the kids to ride the horses.  They all loved it!

Ryan really wanted Poppa to dress up as a soldier with him.  Ryan's smile couldn't be BIGGER when we walked in the door and he saw him.

I'm so thankful Halloween is over!  The only thing that I look forward to is seeing how happy and excited it makes my kids to dress up and get candy!  So here's to another year of FUN and I guess I'll say I can't wait until next year!
