"Where there is a path, there is an adventure."

A couple weeks ago Ayden, Ryan and Myles went to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Park with B and Shell.  This trip was a trip of a lifetime for them.  I have to say I'm so jealous Tye and I didn't get to go.  We went in 2012 when we just had two kids and I loved the trip.  I know that the kids had a blast though and I also know they made memories with their grandparents that wouldn't have been the same with mom and dad there.
I'm thankful for grandparents that were brave enough, smart enough, young enough and FUN enough to do it.  We love B and Shell so much are couldn't be more thankful for their relationship with our children.

We sent our old camera with Ryan.  He loves taking pictures and is really good at it.  Here are some from his camera!
Grand Tetons
I'm sure this picture doesn't do it justice.  Just so beautiful!
 Blue Star Spring
 Old Faithful Geyser
Cute story: The first time Ayden saw Old Faithful she wasn't that impressed.  She thought it was going to have different colors.  The next day they went back to see it and it had a beautiful rainbow through it.  She was so excited and Shell was so excited for her.  Isn't our God amazing!

 Myles: Momma, buffaloes were everywhere!!
 Mammoth, Wyoming
The elk just walk around in town and lay on the grass!  Coolest thing ever.
The kids (and B and Shell) got ice cream here too!
 B being silly!
He was going to through Myles in the bubbling mud.
B took these pictures and we are so thankful he did.  I loved looking through these with B and Shell and the kids.  Their little faces lighting up when they saw something they remembered and then listening to them tell the stories.  Shell and Ayden also wrote in journals on this trip.  Shell wrote in hers everyday and I'm so happy she did.  I felt like I was there and got to hear all the stories and funny things my kids said.
MY HEART could literally explode.
Squint your eyes but you can see a BULL MOOSE!  How cool is that?!
Reading all about bear safety is very important!
 My sweet babies!
 Where's Ryan....there he IS!
Sweet Myles.  I wonder what he was thinking about.
She was high...it would've freaked me out if I was there.  As a matter of fact it must have scared Shell too.
Ayden: Momma, Shell kept telling B..Brent watch them.  Are they too high?  Then B would say they are KIDS let them climb and play.
(hahahaha) This sounds exactly like a conversation Tye and I would have.
Famous arch in Jackson Hole, WY
Shell is such a good grandmother.
Getting sworn in as Junior Rangers.
They got their badges.  Shell said this moment was so cute and they were so excited she could've cried!

 It's a BEAR!!!

Myles really loved this at a store they went to.  He gets tickled at this picture every time he sees it.
He tells me (all while laughing so hard he can't talk): Momma, they are dead raccoons playing cards.
If you know Myles, you know why this is funny!
 hahaha
One afternoon (or maybe more than that) Ayden and Myles went with Shell to the visitors center.  Ayden and Myles ended up falling asleep watching educational videos about Yellowstone.
Ryan and B went walking around looking at geysers and all kinds of stuff.  Ryan and B are a lot alike in this way.  They will look and read everything.  Add in Ryan taking picutres of everything and I'm sure Ayden and Myles got good, long naps!
I love that they got to spend this time together, just the two of them!
 They had picnic lunches everyday.
Cutest picture ever.  Love my boys!
Ayden thought the sulfur smell was stinking!

They got to go to this place called Grizzly and Wolf Discovery in West Yellowstone, MT.  They got to hide food for the grizzly bears and then see the bears come out and find the food.
Here's Ayden hiding her food!
This grizzly bear is huge and I know it's not even the biggest a grizzly bear can get!
 The boys hiding their food.
This is sooo cool!!!  The halfway point between the North Pole and the Equator.
Once again the scenery is just beautiful.  I remember when we went to Yellowstone in 2012 being taken back at God's creation.  The pictures really don't do it justice!
It's been three weeks since they've been home from this trip and they still tell me things about it.  They will tell me they saw something or remember something they did or something that happened.  They were gone for 11 days and we missed them so much but I couldn't be more thankful that B and Shell ask them to go.  Experiences like this are priceless.  How blessed are we that our children get to take trips like this with their grandparents, who, blessed their lives away from Mom and Dad.  B and Shell both said the kids were wonderful travelers and were wonderful in the camper and it did this Momma's heart good to know they CAN behave!
They drove nearly 3000 miles with an 8, 6 and 5 year old all the while disciplining, loving, having fun and teaching them that everything out their window is God's creation.
 We couldn't ask for more!!

Ayden said it best.
