The last two months have been wonderful and full of adventures. It’s been so busy that I didn’t have time to blog about it. Hahaha, even if I did have a minute I didn’t want to spend it on my computer!
First, Myles got to cash in his birthday coupon from Doug and Brittney. He got to spend 4 days in Ruidoso with his great aunt and uncle. Just him…all alone…without his siblings! He had a wonderful time and I’m so thankful that he got to have some time, just him. Myles is number #3 in our family which means he’s never really been alone. He’s always had siblings around, he’s always had to share, he’s always had to wait his turn, and he’s always usually really good about that. He is truly such a sweet gift that God blessed us with and I want him to always know and FEEL that. I know this trip meant a lot to him. It was all worked out especially for him. Everyone needs to be reminded and “gone out of their way for” every once in a while. Here is a picture of him at the Billy the Kid museum. He’s never this serious so I know this pose took every bit of effort.

This little girl still falls asleep in our laps on occasion during church. I will forever fight Tye to hold her when this happens. As I looked over to admire her sweet little face, I couldn’t help but get tickled. She had stuck the communion cups to her eyeballs and then apparently fell asleep. Hahaha
My girls are beautiful on the outside and more importantly on the inside.
Myles with Doug and BB at the golf course.
Sydney lost her first TOP tooth. Her little toothless grin is my favorite. She wrote a letter to the tooth fairy. It was the cutest thing. The tooth fairy might have given her more money if she had it to give!
Sydney loves school. Her baby doll, Willa, comes to school sometimes and sits at her very own desk!
Tye had to go out of town for a Farm Bureau conference. The kids love Harry Potter and I’ve never seen it. Tye isn’t a fan so we used this as the perfect opportunity to camp out in the living room and watch movies all night long! It was so fun! I fell asleep during the second movie. Ryan stayed awake and watched the first 5 movies! He was the winner!!!
Myles and BB bowling.
I included this picture because Ryan wants to forever remember the day he hung his autographed poster of Alan Jackson in his room. Doug and Brittney bought and won this poster at an auction and it couldn’t be a more perfect gift for his 10th birthday. He loves Alan Jackson! He sent a letter to his fan club months ago. During Christmas, he got a Christmas card back with Alan’s signature. He was super excited about it. So, every night when I tuck him in we have this funny thing where I tell him goodnight and then I look up at the poster and tell Alan goodnight too!
Poor starving Rusty…Tye’s grilled cheese was just too much to handle. Hahaha
This sweet boy turned TEN YEARS OLD on February 9th. The day that Tye and I found out that we were having a little boy we both had expectations of who we thought our first son would be. Ryan has exceeded those expectations and continues to make us so proud every single day. He is polite, sweet and extremely hard working. He gives the best hugs and I love the way he says “I love you, Momma” randomly throughout the day and for no reason at all. The first ten years of his life have brought more joy and wholeness to my soul than I deserve. I’m so very thankful that I get to be his mother. I’m so very thankful that I have the privilege of living my life with him in it. He makes everything better. We love you, Ryan Gregory! I can’t believe that you are TWO HANDS old. Next year, you’ll have to hold up a toe I guess.
Myles is a pretty good driver! He started using the pedals recently and he’s doing great!
Myles got to help serve at the Ruidoso food bank. Brittney said he worked hard and was very polite. I couldn’t ask for more! I’m so proud of him! Thank you, BB, for helping to create a servant’s heart.
Myles found some golf balls at the golf course!
When we picked him up he told me not to be mad but that BB had let him get a piercing. Thank goodness he was pulling my leg!
Tye’s always working on a project of some sort. I missed him so I sat in the barn while he worked. I’m so thankful he’s my husband. He’s my better half.
My sissy!
Snuggled up with a fire is Rusty’s favorite place to be!
It snowed a small amount and the kids were so excited.
MARCH
We got to go on our church ski trip this year. We went to Sipapu, New Mexico and had the BEST time. I was really nervous to ski this year. I haven’t skied since I had back surgery a year and a half ago. Good news, I didn’t fall one time! Ha! Only one time when I was in line I decided to try to do the splits on my skis, however, me or no one near me was injured in my trickiness! I might have gotten some laughs though.
Sydney decided that she was going to ski this year. Two years ago when we went she took ski school but wasn’t really interested in skiing in the afternoons. This year she ROCKED it. She was absolutely amazing and didn’t quit until the lifts closed. ALL three days she did this and with a smile on her face to boot. She loved skiing and can’t wait to go back next year.
Ayden and Kam Kam looking like professionals.
Me, Ayden and Maizy
Maizy learned to ski on this trip too. She did amazing!!
Our church group for the most part. I am so thankful to be apart of a congregation like this. We love every single person in this picture so much!
Ready, ready for the day!
Myles is a great skier. He did awesome, as always.
Ayden and Maizy are such sweet friends.
Myles, Ryan and Ayden- the three Amigos

Spring Break-2022
We went to Caddo Lake this year with B and Shell. We got to stay right on the lake in an amazing lake house. It was so fun and relaxing being together with nothing to really do. The kids fished, swam and one day we went canoeing.
Kam and all her nieces and nephews
B and Shell are such good grandparents.
Thank you both for a wonderful vacation!
Rusty also enjoyed the lake. The day he got to jump off the dock and swim with the kids was his favorite day.
Who do you think taught Sydney the communion cup trick…this guy right here!
Myles is doing so well learning to play the banjo. I’m so proud him!
“We don’t need a dog.”
“I don’t want another dog.”
“I’m not taking care of it.”
Quotes from the man who drove with one hand because Rusty got comfy on his other arm.
This girl is such a hard worker. She can build a cotton module, build a fence and look so cute while doing it.
We bought a boat! We took it out for the first time as a family last Sunday afternoon. I still can’t believe that it’s ours. We are hoping to spend lots of time making memories on this thing!
Tye, that’s your dog, dude.
Shotgun practice started a couple weeks ago. Ayden and Ryan are both doing well and have improved a lot since last year.
Buc-ee’s is our favorite place to stop for snacks!
Ryan fishin’ on the dock at Caddo Lake.
We got to go camping for a few days at Hords Creek with my family. We spent three days playing corn hole, Yahtzee, Uno, riding bikes and eating. What more could you ask for?!
Sydney does this thing where she acts like she is asleep the MINUTE we pull into the driveway. We know that she isn’t really sleeping. She told Ayden that if she’s asleep she doesn’t have to shower or brush her teeth. Hahaha. We always ACT like she is though and Tye carries her to bed and we whisper and tell everyone to talk quiet. The other kids get so annoyed. This is one of those things that I know later in life they will all say wasn’t fair and we will say it was because she was the baby in the family. I can hear the resentment now.

Myles has recently learned to blow the biggest bubbles. BIG bubbles that pop on your nose is what childhood is made of!
