Easter this year started out just as wonderful as always. We had so much fun coloring eggs with Tye's family and then with mine.
Ayden loved it and her eggs all looked so good!
Ryan sat by Grandaddy and wanted him to draw a picture on the egg and then he would "roast" them.
Mamaw with all the kids! We decided this year to dye eggs at the park. I don't think anybody wanted that many kids dyeing eggs in their house!
Little Myles was so cute! He stuck to either orange or blue and did all his eggs that one color.
Poppa and Sydney
After church on Sunday we went to lunch at B and Shell's house. Shell made a big lunch for everyone and it was all so delicious! We had a great time visiting and EATing!
B and Shell with all their grandkids!
After lunch we hunted eggs. The kids were so cute running around putting eggs in their buckets. Myles quickly learned to skip over the boiled ones and went straight for the candy. Haha, I don't blame him!
This was Spencer first year to hunt eggs and he was so stinkin cute!
Baby's 1st Easter egg.
Ayden got so many that she had to get a second bucket.
When we dyed eggs with my family Ryan made these really cool eggs that looked like camouflage. He did it by mixing it in different colors and leaving them in each for "100 seconds." He is so cute!
The day didn't end quite how we wanted it. My family came to our house Easter evening to eat brisket and pulled pork my Dad had smoked with all the fixings. Just as we were making our plates to sit down to eat Mamaw fell and broke her hip. She was immediately rushed to the hospital along with all the older adults. We did hide eggs for the kids and let them hunt but it just wasn't the same without everyone there. She had surgery today and is doing as well as she can at the moment. We are praying for her to recover. If there is anything this day has taught me its the importance of family and relying on God. On happy Easter days or days when you're not sure the outcome God is still in control. We are so thankful he rose and that death could not contain him!
Love these lyrics by Casting Crowns.
"Living He loved me, dying He saved me
And buried He carried my sins far away
Rising He justified freely forever
One day He's coming, oh, glorious day, oh, glorious day"
And buried He carried my sins far away
Rising He justified freely forever
One day He's coming, oh, glorious day, oh, glorious day"
