Spring Break this year was a little different than usual. All four of my kids were sick! It all started the week before Spring Break and continued on through the weekend and the beginning of the week. Ayden and Myles had colds, Ryan had an ear infection and Sydney had RSV and an ear infection. We had to do breathing treatments and antibiotics and I'm so thankful that we are done and everyone is well! We stayed inside for days and tried to make it fun. We did a hand and foot print bunny craft and built a pirate ship.
This ship was so FUN! We colored it and then Tye built it and the kids haven't stopped playing since. They will even get inside and watch t.v. through the little circle windows.
While we were stuck inside we potty trained this little dude. He is so stinkin cute in his little underwear! It took about a week and he is doing great.
We played babysitter a LOT. Ayden and Ryan love to pretend that Sydney is their baby.
Hahaha, Sydney's face!
This little girl was so sad while she was sick. I've got to say she may be the happiest "sick" baby I have ever seen. I hated that she didn't feel good but I sure did LOVE all the sweet snuggles.
About half way through the week everyone started feeling better so we took the older three to see Zootopia. It was such a cute movie and everyone really liked it. Thanks Mandy for keeping Syd!
Ayden is a grown up in a child's body. She is so helpful around the house. She helped cook so many meals, helped with her brothers, changed Sydney's diaper, helped clean and even picked up the backyard all by herself. She made these tamales all by herself. The only thing I did was pour the hot chili over the top!
Since everyone was feeling better we went camping in Abilene with my parents over the weekend. A cold front came through so it was a little chilly Friday night but Saturday ended up being a beautiful and perfect day to go to the zoo.
All the animals were out and moving around and the kids loved it. We rode the train and ate cotton candy.
This boy is my favorite four year old in the world! He loved the flamingos the most:)
Myles was running from his Daddy and fell down on the cement. He was crying so I picked him up and said, "Hey let's go look at these animals over here." He asked what they were and I told him Llamas. In his little crying voice he said, "Are these ba-lambas going to make my leg feel better." I just love two year olds it's my favorite age and I don't want him to ever grow up!
We ended up not starting our Spring Break as planned but it ended up being so great. I guess that's life. In sickness and health I wouldn't want to be with anyone else.
I love them more than they know!
