A couple weekends ago we went to Hordes Creek (one of my favorite places in the world) and fished for two days with Poppa and Honey. They took their boat and we took ours and we each had two kids!
Before we went out on the water Poppa showed the boys how to cast and fish with a plastic worm. I love seeing my Dad teach my kids the very same things he taught me. He's the best fisherman I know!
The first day we had the girls and Poppa and Honey had the boys. My sweet girls loved fishing and all the kids were wonderful on the boat.
Tye and I caught some fish too! I had forgotten how relaxing and peaceful it is to be out on the lake fishing. I appreciate that peace so much more now than I did when I was younger.

Syndey's fish! She named her Susie and she came with her Barbie fishing pole. Susie kept Sydney entertained on the boat for hours!!
All three of the big kids caught fish on Poppa and Honey's boat. Poppa and Honey showed them how to hold it and of course they had to get a picture.
This trip was so much fun!
I can see many, many more fishing trips in our future!
